Birth and Kithood:[break]
The small black-and-white kit was born in the heart of Leaf-Fall alongside three siblings, Redkit, Rosekit and Briarkit.
The four quickly formed a small gang and could be found causing all kinds of mischief and mayhem throughout camp.
Unfortunately, Brairkit grew ill and died when an epidemic of Greencough swept through camp.
The disease also took the young tom's father, Greynose.
This only brought Thrushkit, Redkit and Rosekit closer together, and their bond grew even stronger. Soon after the disease had left Shadowclan, Thrushkit, Redkit and Rosekit were made apprentices.[break]

Apprenticehood:[break]
Thrushpaw was an eager apprentice, always ready to learn. His mentor, Yellowtail, was a kind and sensitive she-cat who was more than willing to teach him all she knew.
Mentor and apprentice were out walking one day when a badger approached. Yellowtail pushed Thrushpaw away, telling him to run back to camp while she fought the monster.
Yellowtail never returned to camp.
Thrushpaw's training was now in the paws of a vile, grizzled old tom named Leopardtooth. The tough warrior pushed Thrushpaw to do the best he could, but he also taught his apprentice violence and hatred.
A young she-cat, Icepaw, caught Thrushpaw's eye when she stood up for him during a particularly difficult training session. The two became friends, but that quickly grew into something more.[break]

Warriorhood:[break]
Thrushwing was proud to be a warrior, and fight for his clan.
He proved himself during a fight with Thunderclan, although his mate Icetail was worried about his violent nature.
She confronted him about it later and the two got into a fight. Icetail left camp that night to clear her head.
Thrushwing followed his mate into the forest. He was about to apologize when a badger leapt out at the she-cat.
The young warrior froze in terror, scenes from his former mentor's death flashing in his mind. Yellowtail's image was replaced by Icetail and he shook himself.
Thrushwing threw himself at the badger, yowling and spitting angrily.
He sent the badger running, but Icetail's wounds soon proved to be fatal. She died in the Medicine Cat's Den a few sunrises later.
Thrushwing never forgave himself, thinking that he had caused his mate's death. He pushed himself even harder in order to cope with Iher death, barely sleeping and instead spending his time hunting and fighting for the good of the clan.
